“Work Ethic”…..actions speak louder than words.

One of the best pieces of growing up advice I received was from my dad recently when I returned home from an “in-laws” family vacation and I expressed just how much I worked while traveling –we caught the beach only 2 days out of the 6 that we visited. 

He said “that’s what you gotta do.”

I appreciated the feedback because it made me reflect on how much he did Not teach me what I know, but how much his actions taught me greater than his words. He didn’t have to tell me “how (or get) to work”….he showed me a great “work ethic”.

You know the saying….. “Give someone a fish, they eat for a day. Teach someone to fish, they eat for life.”
