How to accomplish a Digital Transformation at your manufacturing company—Part two
Maybe even after reading the first piece written by me on digital transformation —- you are still not convinced that you need to move quickly to change.
If this is you—I encourage you to take an hour out of your week to watch this video because I feel it explains better than I ever could why you really need to consider making a digital transformation plan now instead of waiting another year.
In this video from the World Economic Forum in Davos 2016 titled:
“The Digital Transformation of Industries”, top-level CEO’s from Salesforce, Schneider Electric, Arconic, Kaiser Permanente and HP discuss how they have been able to transform their companies into a digital enterprise.
While watching this video you might want to pay extra attention to:
Klaus Kleinfeld, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Arconic Inc., as talks on how they are finding ways to eliminate the cost of tooling and replace current casting technologies using 3D metal printing.
Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Schneider Electric, brings up how the company is focused to connect everything to the Internet (IoT) and how to choosing the right partner is critical before moving to the cloud.
Meg Whitman CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise discusses: “Speed”. She believes that the future belongs to the companies that act fast— if you can’t get your organization to move at speed you will fail behind. She goes on to say that becoming a digital enterprise could save your company 20-30%. This cost savings is how you will be able afford to become a true digital enterprise.
